1. Information We Collect
Jerkloop is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal information:
- IP Address: Used for country detection, abuse prevention and security. It is not linked to a profile. If an IP address is banned for abuse, we keep it for the duration of the ban.
- Session Data: Temporary session identifiers to manage matchmaking. Deleted when you leave.
- Preferences: Age, interests and language selections are stored only in your browser (localStorage).
- Anonymous Statistics: Aggregate counters such as the number of matches or messages per day. They contain no personal data and cannot be traced back to you.
2. Temporary User Codes
When you first enter the chat, a temporary username and a unique access code are generated for you. Here's what you should know:
- The code is not linked to any personal information — no email, no phone number, no real name.
- The only data associated with your code is: your chosen username, your self-reported age, your interests and your country (detected from IP).
- Saved codes are automatically deleted after 7 days of inactivity. If you don't use your code for 7 days, it's gone permanently. Codes you never save expire within a few hours.
- You can skip the code at any time, which deletes it immediately from our servers.
- In the future, codes may be used for optional features like favoriting users. These features will remain anonymous.
3. What We Don't Collect
- We do NOT record video or audio streams
- We do NOT keep chat histories. Text in one-to-one video chat is end-to-end encrypted between you and your match and never reaches us. Messages in the chat room and private messages are kept only briefly to keep the conversation working (see Data Retention), then deleted.
- We do NOT require registration or personal information
4. Encryption & Security
All communications travel over encrypted connections:
- Video & Audio: Encrypted end-to-end between you and your match. When a direct connection isn't possible, the encrypted stream may pass through a relay server, which cannot decrypt, view or record it. Nothing is stored.
- Text chat in video chat: End-to-end encrypted, only you and your partner can read it.
- Chat room, private messages and short video clips ("bubbles"): Transmitted through our systems over encrypted connections. Bubbles are never stored. Messages are kept only briefly (see Data Retention).
We never watch, listen to or record video chats.
5. Automated Moderation & Reports
To keep the platform safe and adults-only, text in the chat room and in private messages may be screened automatically for illegal content, spam and signs of underage users. This screening uses automated systems, including AI-based tools, and does not build a profile of you or store your messages.
When a user is reported, a short excerpt of the relevant conversation may be reviewed to decide on a ban. Report records are kept for 7 days. Video is never analysed or recorded.
6. Data Retention
- Session data: deleted when you disconnect.
- Saved user codes: 7 days after last use. Unsaved temporary codes: a few hours.
- Chat room messages: up to 24 hours. Private messages: about 10 minutes after the conversation ends.
- Video bubbles: never stored.
- Report records: 7 days.
- Banned IP addresses and codes: for the duration of the ban.
- Anonymous aggregate statistics: kept indefinitely; they contain no personal data.
We do not maintain permanent user profiles or chat histories.
7. Cookies & Advertising
We use the following cookies and browser storage:
- Consent choice: remembers whether you accepted or rejected advertising cookies (EU, EEA and UK visitors).
- Human verification: a short-lived token confirming you passed the bot check, so you don't have to repeat it.
- Preferences: age, interests and language, stored in your browser's localStorage. They are never sent to us as a profile.
- Advertising cookies: set by our advertising partners, and only with your consent where consent is required.
- Analytics: privacy-friendly and cookieless; we only see aggregate numbers.
This site is supported by advertising. Our advertising partners — ExoClick and JuicyAds — may set cookies to show ads, limit how often you see them, and measure performance; this can involve your IP address and device information.
Visitors in the EU, EEA and UK are asked to consent before any advertising cookie is set. You can accept or reject — the site works fully either way, and you can change your choice at any time.
8. Service Providers
We use third-party providers for hosting, advertising, moderation and analytics. They cannot access your video, audio or chat content.
9. Your Rights
Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests can be satisfied on your own: skip your code to delete it immediately, and clear your browser storage to remove your preferences. You can also ask us to access, correct or delete any data we hold about you, object to processing, or withdraw your consent (use the cookie preferences link above), by writing to [email protected].
10. Age Restriction
Jerkloop is strictly for users 18 years or older. By using the service, you confirm you are of legal age. We do not knowingly process data of minors; suspected underage users are banned immediately.
